Part-Time Support Staff: Demand Set Meeting Requested
For all Part-time Support Staff and Shop Stewards, as you may know, the College Support Part-Time Division is going into negotiations later this year.
As part of the process, each Local has been tasked to hold a Part-Time College Support Unit Demand Set meeting where part-time members can vote on what they believe their important issues are. The Final Demand Set Meeting will be held October 24-25, 2026 in Toronto, with details to follow next week; OPSEU is asking that we make sure that our local's demands are submitted by September 25th, 2026.
The OPSEU Bargaining Team has put together a list of priorities from previous rounds of bargaining that local members should consider when voting on their demands; I've attached it to this email. Additionally, I've attached the CAATS PT Negotiation Process Manual from OPSEU for you to read, if you're interested in learning how our union works with negotiating demands.
To fulfill this request from OPSEU and to make sure that our local's voice is heard, we've determined to set our demand meeting on:
September 14th, 2026 at 12:00PM - 1:00PM (Lunch hour) via Microsoft Teams (Link provided via email)
